My Travelling checklist - UK to round the world!

So, I am going to Europe for a month - 22nd July - 18th August, and coming back for a bit then off to a 'round world' trip (SE Asia, Australia, NZ & Fiji) up until christmas 2011.
This list should help anyone doing anything similar!

My experiences:

Cancel Direct Debits:

- Virgin TV & Internet
- downgrade to M TV - £42.99 a month (18/05)
- cancel V+ box to make it £5 cheaper
-fill out d/d mandate - post near 20th June to start from July
- cancel my D/D

For Europe - keep TV (and cancel V+)
For round world - cancel TV (give months notice)
- gave months notice - tv cancelled on 18th Sept. goes down to £32.40

- Contract phone (Iphone on Orange)
Europe - decide whether to take it with me
- decided not to; would end up with huge phone bill!!
call charges:
to make a call 38.8p per min
to receive: 14.3p
text 10.2p
data: £3 per MB

Froze iphone from 14th Sept.. call 0800 079 0272 to reconnect. 3rd Sept bill as normal, 3rd Oct credited.

Pay as you go phone (Blackberry on o2)
Europe & Round world:
- Check usage of pay as you go phone - can pay an extra £10 beforehand to receive calls for free (only for Europe).
- still use BBM and Internet on it?- yes covered in my monthly bolt on.
- for round world: also use an unlocked phone, and buy 'sim4travel'

Call charges:
to make a call:35p
to receive a call:14p
text: 10p

- cancel phone insurance for round world (for iPhone)

Spotify
**will it work around Europe? - it will but will cost a lot to stream on my iPhone.
cancel beginning of July online.
- put songs on my ipod instead
